The event is organized by Public Scholar Ezgi Ozyonum and supported by Concordia International and Concordia's School of Graduate Studies

This international panel brings together faculty, practitioners, and graduate students from various backgrounds. Speakers will discuss the complexity of decolonized internationalization and the hierarchy of knowledge production in higher education.

Post-secondary institutions face a central problem: there is increasing pressure on higher education institutions to adopt internationalization strategies. While universities are promoting internationalization, they are spreading colonial educational engagements to the globe. There is an increasing concern that significant components of international education, such as student and faculty mobility and global partnership, are disseminating Westernization or neocolonialism. This event brings together faculty, practitioners, and graduate students to explore how we might decolonize our international higher education institutions.

How can you participate? Attend the discussion in person (note, there is a maximum of 25 audience members permitted in the space) or online by registering for the Zoom webinar or watching live on our YouTube channel.
