Sarah Mangle began writing and audio recording all-ages art prompts on March 13, 2020, the first day Covid lockdown (and a state of emergency) was declared in Montreal. Those art prompts were emailed out to over 350 people daily for 152 days straight, and weekly following that for over a year. Every day people would send in their responses to be shared in the emails the following day. Exercises were at times journal-based, observation-based, reflective, playful and performative, attempting to engage with each other, our new realities, changing political landscapes, hopes and fears. Join her and Concordia professor Ariela Freedman in conversation about making art, making community, and creativity as an act of resilience.

This event is part of the Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies in Society and Culture (CISSC) working group.

How can you participate? Attend the discussion in person (note, there is a maximum of 25 audience members permitted in the space) or online by registering for the Zoom meeting or watching live on 4th Space's YouTube channel.
