In 2018, Concordia professor Catherine Russell was honoured with the University’s highest form of recognition for overall research achievements by being recognized as a Distinguished University Research Professor (DURP). Bringing together experimental film with more documentarian ethnographic work — usually seen as polar opposites within the film world — Russell pushes film studies and visual anthropology forward as fields of study.
Join Professor Haidee Wasson as she engages Russell about her illustrious career and research portfolio. Paula Wood-Adams, Interim Vice-President, Research and Graduate Studies, will offer opening remarks to launch this conversation.
