The "Public Arts Garage" (PAG) promotes international, interdisciplinary collaboration in topics around art and public space. Thinker-doers, research-creators in this graduate seminar investigated moving borders of art-making practices as well as theoretical frameworks in research-creation. Three international partner institutions: Bauhaus University, Queen’s University Belfast and Concordia University provided teaching modules blending critical theory, activism and artistic manifestations specific to each site. The PAG students, based in Ireland, Germany, Brazil, China and many other countries blurred the boundaries of their disciplines to rekindle enchantment, reinvest in enjoyment, and build new modes of engagement.
Join us for the finissage of the eight international groups who will present their collaborative projects, interspersed with feedback and exchange, animated by Concordia professors Silvy Panet-Raymond (Contemporary Dance) and Louis Patrick Leroux (English & Etudes françaises).
How can you participate? Attend in person (note, we can accommodate up to 30 audience members comfortably in the space) or online by registering for the Zoom Meeting or by watching live on YouTube.
