Join us for a live podcast recording of The Iron Ring from Women In Engineering (WIE). This episode will focus on Azadeh Dastmalchi's journey through school and her research, as well as her decision to become an entrepreneur
They will discuss the stigma and hardships she experienced as a woman studying engineering. Hosts Emily Phillipp, Emilia Ventulieri, and ambassador Olivia Ferrara will ask Azadeh advice she can offer to future and present women engineers.

About the Speaker
Azadeh Dastmalchi
Dastmalchi is CEO and Co-Founder of VitalTracer, a medical startup that designs smart wearable medical devices.
She holds a Ph. D. candidate at the University of Ottawa, earning her master's degree from the same university in biomedical engineering. She is one of the top 25 women of INFLUENCE 2021, a Canadian G20 Young Entrepreneur Alliance, a skilled leader, entrepreneur, business planner and successful project manager. Her main area of research has been the design and development of medical devices, particularly those for monitoring vital signs and AI applied to biological signals.
