Clare has used their time in the CUCCR Residency to play with organic material and the process of slow productions and dissolutions. Guided by a tangential despair/optimism for ecological resilience, the work peers into the impact of consumerist ideology, and potential alternative eco-futures as guided by sustainable production methods which have been practiced for generations.
Using SCOBY (an organism which grows and feeds as it ferments tea) foraged bones, and other organic or re-used materials, they will present a kombucha love affair in an installation of art, storytelling, and community care.
