Bridging Borders and Uniting Practices

This panel, moderated by Florent Michelot, aims to bring together field practitioners (non-profit organizations, teachers, etc.) who work with young adult populations. It will allow for an exchange between French-speaking and English-speaking participants to share experiences, tools, etc. Despite cultural differences, similarities exist that allow for the cross-pollination of approaches and the mutual enrichment of our practices. This session will explore how engagement strategies, pedagogical techniques, and educational technologies can be adapted and implemented across different sociocultural contexts to promote the acquisition of 21st-century skills among young adults. It will also aim to identify common challenges and propose pathways for international collaboration to address them, focusing on the importance of digital and media literacy in an increasingly connected world.

Ce panel visera à faire se rencontrer des intervenant·es (organismes sans buts lucratifs, enseignant·es, etc.) qui œuvrent sur le terrain auprès des populations de jeunes adultes. Le panel permettra d’échanger avec des intervenant·es francophones et anglophones afin de partager les expériences, les outils, etc. Car, malgré les différences culturelles, des similarités permettent de croiser les approches et d’enrichir mutuellement nos pratiques. Cette session sera l’occasion d’explorer comment les stratégies d’engagement, les techniques pédagogiques et les technologies éducatives peuvent être adaptées et mises en œuvre dans différents contextes afin de favoriser l’acquisition des compétences du 21e siècle chez les jeunes. Elle visera également à identifier les défis communs et à proposer des pistes de collaboration internationale pour relever ces défis, en mettant un accent particulier sur l’importance de la littératie numérique et médiatique.
