Join us for a conversation between author and activist Ashton Applewhite and the Forever Young podcast team as they explore the roots of ageism—between our ears and in the world around us—how it divides and diminishes us, and how we can undo it.

Speakers

Ashton Applewhite

A writer and public speaker, Ashton is the author of This Chair Rocks: A Manifesto Against Ageism. In 2022 the United Nations named her one of the Healthy Aging 50: 50 leaders transforming the world to be a better place to grow older. She speaks widely at venues that have included the United Nations and the TED mainstage, and is at the forefront of the emerging movement to raise awareness of ageism and make age a criterion for diversity. In 2022 the United Nations named Ashton one of the Healthy Aging 50: fifty leaders transforming the world to be a better place to grow older.

Forever Young

The Forever Young podcast is created by three women at the Montreal West Public Library who engage in conversations about aging. They speak with intergenerational network builders, social activists, and individuals who think outside the box to address challenges that emerge with aging.
