Feel the rhythm, embrace the culture, and get your body moving to the grounding beats of Afro-Caribbean music! Whether you're a beginner or an experienced dancer, this class is all about having fun, getting active, and connecting with an exciting blend of music and movement. In these sessions, expect a mix of technique, waist-line isolations, footwork, and fun as we dive into Afro-Caribbean styles alongside jazz, hip-hop, dancehall, and more. Classes always start with a warm-up, basic technical steps, light choreography, and historical facts and will end with a great stretch. Be prepared to embrace your strength, endurance, and mobility while connecting the sounds of Africa and the Caribbean Islands.

These classes are suitable for all levels and great for all who are dealing with chronic pain or fascia tightness.

Facilitator:

Amanda Benn (dancer, choreographer, massage therapist leader, long-standing community and youth worker)
