Pîkiskwêtân, the Indigenous Directions Learning Series, is a continuous series of decolonizing and anti-racist Indigenous awareness training and professional development workshops. The series is open to Concordia staff, faculty and students.
This workshop introduces participants to the cultures and socio-political structures, traditions and realities of Inuit and their relationship with the rest of Canada. It discusses Inuit history prior to the 20th century and examines how the treatment of Inuit in the last 150 years have contributed to issues that they still face today. It also presents success stories and highlights organizations and projects that bring positive change.
