Montreal West United Church, a Protestant church near Loyola Campus, has hosted an indoor labyrinth walk for many years, and, since the pandemic, has built an outdoor labyrinth. Labyrinths are walking meditations found in many traditions; theirs is modeled after the one in Charters Cathedral in France.
We'll have a short introductions to labyrinths and labyrinth walks, have a chance to walk the labyrith or observe the walk (optional), and be able to ask questions about this practice and the church more generally.
You have two options to meet us prior to the labyrinth walk:
meet at the Z Annex at 1:15 pm to take the shuttle together to Loyola (make sure to have your student ID for the shuttle) OR
meet at the Loyola chapel at 2:15 pm
We'll all walk from the Loyola chapel to the church (about 15 minutes)
Participate in this sacred site visit and at least two others this academic year and complete a reflection to build you capacity for religious literacy and ear recognition on your Co-Curricular Record. More details will be sent to participants via email.
