The SARC is excited to host a Week of Wellness and Self-Care from November 28 to December 2. Part of supporting survivors and their allies in the community is through offering space and resources for self-care.
We are collaborating with a variety of departments and organizations on campus to highlight the different offerings available to Concordia community members that encourage self-care to reduce stress and increase wellness. Knowing numbers of attendees helps us plan, so register if you can. However, drop ins are also welcome.
Spiritual Wellness with the Multi-Faith and Spirituality Centre
The MFSC will be facilitating the exploration of spirituality as part of the human experience and expanding understandings of spiritual practices. There will be a variety of activities to engage in, set up as different stations.
This will include practicing gratitude, body art visioning, setting intentions/hopes/prayers, a labyrinth, and Looking at your Food activity. Participants will have the choice about which stations they would like to go to.
There will be an offering of guided breath work and community conversation following these activities. Option to bring a yoga mat or towel for sitting on the floor during this portion of the workshop. All are welcome to attend.
