Take part in learning sessions with leaders and meet one-on-one for a 30-minute career coaching session. This event is free for students.

Are you graduating soon and considering different career options? Not sure where to start with your cover letter or resume? Sending out application after application, but nothing is sticking? Finding a good fit can be tricky and stressful. Sometimes, it helps to talk to someone who has been there.
 
Join representatives from The Home Depot Canada for an afternoon of learning. After hearing from LinkedIn and recruitment specialists, you will be matched with a Home Depot Canada representative for a one-on-one, 30-minute career coaching session. This event is free for students.

What to Expect
 After you register, you will prepare a resume and cover letter that you would like feedback on. Irene from Jobpostings reach out to collect these materials from you to match you with your assigned representative.
 
This will help your assigned representative better understand your experience to provide personalized advice. Once you have provided these materials, you will be assigned to one of four Coaching Session timeslots, and notified of this time before the event.
 
The event will begin at 12:30pm EST with introductory statements and two instructional sessions from LinkedIn and recruitment experts from the Home Depot Canada. At 1:30pm, those in the first time slot will go directly into their coaching session. Those in the second, third or fourth timeslots are free to leave the virtual event at 1:30 pm and rejoin 5 minutes ahead of their assigned timeslot at 2:00pm, 2:30pm or 3:00pm EST.
 
Your personal coach will review your resume and answer any questions you may have about your career search in general. If you are applying to any jobs, they will be happy to review your cover letter too and share with you what they look for in a cover letter. This is your opportunity to get a professional's eyes on your career marketing materials and get career guidance, no matter what career path you are pursuing.
