This two-hour course was created for Concordia faculty and staff who are interested in sustainability and want to learn more about it and how to advance sustainability at Concordia. The course provides details on resources available to the university community as well as highlights ways that faculty and staff can improve sustainability within their workplace.
The course is also the first session for those who wish to register as Employee Sustainability Ambassadors, a new pilot program for staff who wish to receive guided support in implementing sustainability within their department. More information on the Employee Sustainability Ambassadors program will be given at the end of the course.
Learning outcomes
After this course, participants will be able to:
recognize and differentiate between different areas of sustainability
describe the Sustainability Policy, Sustainability Action Plan and Sustainability Governance Framework at Concordia
make use of and steer departmental colleagues to relevant sustainable resources and services at Concordia
assess personal or departmental interest in becoming an Employee Sustainability Ambassador
