Dean’s Awards for Outstanding Achievement by Faculty and Staff

On November 11, 2009, the Office of the Dean hosted a ceremony and reception to recognize and honour the recipients of the 2008-2009 Dean’s Awards for Outstanding Achievement by Faculty and Staff.

The 6 outstanding individuals were honoured for their contribution to the University, the Faculty, their colleagues and our students.

The Dean’s Award for Teaching Excellence recognizes superior performance in one or more areas of teaching: classroom teaching, curriculum or program development, or the advancement of teaching practice in the Faculty of Arts and Science.

Award for Distinguished Scholarship

The Dean’s Award for Distinguished Scholarship recognizes a body of published scholarly work of a standard sufficient to have brought greater national or international recognition to the Faculty of Arts and Science.

  • New Scholar Award

The Dean’s New Scholar Award recognizes outstanding scholarly achievement by a tenure-track faculty member.
