Csaba Nikolenyi publishes new article about the Israeli parliament

Csaba Nikolenyi, Director of the Azrieli Institute of Israel Studies, has published a new article about the Israeli parliament, the Knesset, in the journal Party Politics. His paper, “Changing Patterns of Party Unity in the Knesset: The Consequences of the Israeli Anti-Defection Law” argues that contrary to expecations the number of Israeli legislators who changed their partisan affiliation has not decreased significantly after the passage of a law that penalizes party hopping and party splitting. Dr. Nikolenyi’s research is supported by a research grant from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada.
