Azrieli Institute faculty giving papers at the Annual Meeting of the Association for Israel Studies
The Azrieli Institute of Israel Studies continues its established tradition of visibility at the annual meeting of the Association for Israel Studies. At the upcoming meeting, hosted by Kinneret College, three Institute faculty members will be presenting their current research: Ira Robinson will speak on “Zionists, Scholars, and the Kinneret: The 1935 Maimonides Celebration in Tiberias”, Meir Amor’s paper is on “Ashkenaziyut and Mizrahiyut as Sabras: Emergent Israeli Ethnic Identities”, and the Director of the Institute, Csaba Nikolenyi, will report on “Partisan Dynamics and the Election of the Israeli President”. In addition, Amor will be chairing a panel on Identities in Hebrew and Israeli Theatre, and Nikolenyi is convening a Roundtable: Israel at the Polls, 2019: Perspectives on the 21st Knesset Election.
