Rasha El Hawari publishes book on the Arabic language

Dr. Rasha El Hawari, a new member of the Azrieli Institute Academic Advisory Group, recently published her new book, Teaching Arabic as a Heritage Language, published by Routledge.  Dr. El Hawari is a Senior Lecturer of Arabic and the Coordinator for the Semitic Languages Program at Concordia University. She has extensive experience in teaching of Arabic as a foreign language and teaching Arabic immersion programs. Her course, MARA 206: Introduction to Modern Standard Arabic II, counts towards the Institute’s 24-Credit Minor in Israel Studies.
