Dana Ghandour, PhD student and SSHRC doctoral fellow, nominated for Lindau meeting
The Department of Economics congratulates Dana Ghandour, PhD student who specializes in Environmental Economics for her success in obtaining a prestigious SSHRC doctoral award. Ms Ghandour received the prestigious Joseph-Armand Bombardier CGS Doctoral Scholarship and the FRQSC Doctoral Award for her project Environmental Cooperation and Trade – The Impact of Heterogeneity on Environmental Damages. This is an exceptional achievement from a very promising new scholar.
Ms. Ghandour was also nominated by SSHRC to join the 7thLindau Nobel Laureate Meeting on Economic Sciences, taking place in Lindau, Germany in August 2022. Once every three years, Nobel Laureates in Economic Sciences convene in Lindau, Germany to meet with young economic researchers at the undergraduate, doctoral and postdoctoral levels. The Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings provide a globally recognized forum for the transfer of knowledge between generations of scientists.
