Educational Technology around the world

Faculty and students in the Department of Education are travelling across the globe to share their research in the domain of Educational Technology!

Associate Professor Ann-Louise Davidson, Concordia University Research Chair in Maker Culture, is giving a Walrus talk on pedagogical disruption in Calgary on Oct. 22.    

PhD student Bojana Krsmanovic is in Tokyo at the Asian Conference on Education, presenting “All Hands-on the Arcade Table! Exploring the Potential of Maker Culture through a Collective Arcade Table Building Workshop”
 and she received the conference organizing committee’s prestigious IAFOR award for an exceptional conference abstract from a student or early career academic.

PhD student Ivan Ruby recently returned from one month in Guadalajara, Mexico, where he taught 40 teachers and 1000 kids how to program during an innovation challenge organized with the Ministry of Innovation Science and Technology and the University of Guadalajara. He received a recognition certificate from the University of Guadalajara for his work with the schools.
