Spaceteam ESL, a mobile language-learning game designed by Professor Walcir Cardoso and Associate Professor David Waddington, has been featured in several media outlets about its role in lowering ESL students’ anxiety about speaking and in helping students practice their pronunciation.
The Conversation published an article about the game and its effects of reducing students' speaking anxiety. The article was then republished in The National Post and in The Montreal Gazette. Concordia News also reported on research findings that game play can be an effective means of lowering speaking anxiety and encouraging pronunciation practice for ESL students.
Congratulations to Walcir and David!
