Professor Saul Carliner elected Director of the International Board of Standards for Training, Performance, and Instruction (IBSTPI)

Saul Carliner, a professor in Educational Technology, was recently elected Director of the International Board of Standards for Training, Performance, and Instruction (IBSTPI) for a three-year renewable term. This Board works to examine, develop and promote the adoption of research-based, internationally validated Standards to advance training, instruction, learning, and performance improvement for individuals and organizations. The appointment letter from the Board states, “[w]e believe that you will make invaluable contributions to our organization, based on your outstanding track record of professional and scholarly accomplishments in the field of competency-based learning as well as your wide-ranging expertise in technology and communication, especially as applied to workplace settings.”
