The Joseph A. Kagedan Kage Lecture
The Joseph A. Kagedan Kage Lecture shall be held biannually (or less frequently, depending on funding available from the endowment) under the auspices of the University’s Institute for Canadian Jewish Studies. This lecture, open to the public, shall be held in memory of Dr. Kage, who was for many years deeply involved in issues of the Canadian Jewish community, Jewish education, immigration, the education of immigrants to take their rightful place within Canadian society, minority rights, and the relationship of cultural and religious minorities with the French Canadian majority in Quebec. The lecturer shall be an academic or public figure who would address one or more of the above-mentioned topics.
