Norman Ravvin reads from The New Spice Box

The New Spice Box online reading series provides an opportunity for viewers to see authors read and discuss their work at a time when live events have largely evaporated in the atmosphere of pandemic.

Norman Ravvin reads from his short story "Glendale, North of Alhambra, East of Burbank," which appears in Ruth Panofsky's recently released The New Spice Box: Contemporary Jewish Writing (U of T Press).

Norman Ravvin's recent novel of Vancouver and Poland is The Girl Who Stole Everything. His previous fiction publications include the novel The Joyful Child and a story collection, Sex, Skycrapers, and Standard Yiddhish. He teaches at Concordia's Department of Religions and Cultures.
