LTK+ Launches new GPE-KIX project in Dhaka, Bangladesh

Two tools that focus on early literacy within the Learning Toolkit+ are being used in the project - ABRACADABRA and READS. The former is an interactive instructional software to teach foundational literacy skills, while the latter is a catalogue of free digital stories in a variety of languages.

The project’s overarching objective is to improve English literacy skills of early graders in Bangladesh, Rwanda and Kenya. In Dhaka, the project involves 13 government primary schools across eight divisions in Bangladesh. There are 24 teachers and 1000+ students participating in the endeavour.

Deux outils axés sur l'alphabétisation précoce au sein du Learning Toolkit+ sont utilisés dans le cadre du projet : ABRACADABRA et READS. Le premier est un logiciel d'instruction interactif destiné à enseigner les compétences de base en matière d'alphabétisation, tandis que le second est un catalogue d'histoires numériques gratuites dans plusieurs langues. 

L'objectif général du projet est d'améliorer les compétences en anglais des élèves de première année au Bangladesh, au Rwanda et au Kenya. À Dhaka, le projet concerne 13 écoles primaires publiques réparties dans huit divisions du Bangladesh. Vingt-quatre enseignants et plus de 1 000 élèves participent à cette entreprise.
