The forum brought together 90+ people from key fields of health, social services, justice, public safety, community organisations and research to draw conclusions, identify priority areas for action and propose the development of cooperation mechanisms to facilitate intervention, as well as services for the populations concerned. For example, Ghayda Hassan (UQAM) described how artificial intelligence is accelerating the convergence of disinformation with virtual reality, deep fakes, and violent radicalization.
The specialists aim to improve access to data on violence in real time and document initiatives that are working to reduce violence, both here and elsewhere.
