Art Education students invite you to ponder How To Come Home at the CSLP on November 22

Wednesday, November 22, the CSLP will host the students of ARTE432: Community Art Education Theory and Practice as they create a “pop-up exhibition” in our Research-Creation space (room 2.221).

Along with their professor, Jessie Beier, the students have been working hard over the term to explore community art education in theory and practice, which will culminate in the creation of an immersive space that they have titled How To Come Home.

The pop-up exhibition will explore some of the topics and questions the students have been working though in relation to broader themes of rest, refuge, and other rituals for coming home. Working together to experiment with and reflect on the work they have been doing together over the semester, the students will transform the Research-Creation space at the CSLP.

Jessie Beier and her students invite visitors to stop by between 11am and 1pm to recoup and recharge as they contemplate their own relationship to notions of home, both personal and planetary.

Les étudiant.e.s en éducation artistique vous invitent à réfléchir à « comment rentrez chez nous » au CEAP le 22 novembre

Mercredi 22 novembre, le CEAP accueillera les étudiant.e.s d'ARTE432 : Théorie et pratique de l'éducation artistique communautaire, qui créeront une "exposition pop-up" dans notre espace de recherche-création (salle 2.221). 

Avec leur professeur, Jessie Beier, les étudiant.e.s ont travaillé dur tout au long du trimestre pour explorer l'éducation artistique communautaire en théorie et en pratique, ce qui aboutira à la création d'un espace immersif qu'ils ont intitulé How To Come Home (Comment rentrer chez nous). 

L'exposition itinérante explorera certains des sujets et des questions sur lesquels les étudiant.e.s ont travaillé en relation avec des thèmes plus larges de repos, de refuge et d'autres rituels de retour à la maison. En travaillant ensemble pour expérimenter et réfléchir sur le travail qu'ils ont réalisé ensemble au cours du semestre, les étudiant.e.s transformeront l'espace de recherche-création du CEAP.

Jessie Beier et ses étudiant.e.s invitent les visiteurs à s'arrêter entre 11h et 13h pour se reposer et se ressourcer en contemplant leur propre relation avec les notions de foyer, à la fois personnelles et planétaires.
