PhD student, working artist, and elementary art teacher Jihane Mossalim explores the link between artificial intelligence (AI), augmented reality (AR) and more traditional modes of creation in “Traditional Art-Making and Emerging Technologies: An Individual Journey into AI and AR Integration in Portrait Creation”, published in the most recent issue of Canadian Art Teacher.
Mossalim shares her personal process working with the new technologies, revealing what she discovered artistically and pedagogically through her painting process while completing her master’s thesis (a series of portraits representing both artists and scientists).
