A team led by Mitchell McLarnon (Concordia University, Education) and Catherine Malboeuf-Hurtubise (Université Bishop’s, Psychologie) has secured funding from Quebec’s Ministère de l’Éducation to develop a toolkit for teachers to assist them in developing environmental education plans.
The project, Co-creating a toolkit for teachers about environmental education, climate change action and for addressing eco-anxiety among young people, has received $100,000 for two years and features collaboration between multiple institutions: David Lefrancois (UQO, Sciences de l’éducation), Marc-André Ethier (Université de Montréal, Didactique), Dawn Wiseman (Bishop’s University, Education), Valérie Yobé (UQO, École multidisciplinaire de l’image), Catherine Herba (UQÀM, Psychologie), Jura Augustinavicius (McGill University, Department of Equity, Ethics and Policy), Jonathan Smith (Université de Sherbrooke, Education), and Olivier Michaud (UQÀR, Éducation).
