Martin Lalonde to launch interdisciplinary lab on extended realities (XR) with inaugural speed colloquium

Laboratoire 1P1's inaugural speed colloquium will take place on Monday, June 10 at 1 p.m. in a bimodal format at UQAM. Join Martin Lalonde, his team, and the research community of Canada's first interdisciplinary laboratory that brings together artists, researchers, experts, and industry professionals to investigate the impacts and potentials of new environments in extended realities (XR).

The 1P1 Lab is a support infrastructure for research-creation and research on and with XR in the arts, education, and digital aesthetics.

The first half of the afternoon will be devoted to presenting Labo 1P1's infrastructure, research program, team, and partners. The second half will be devoted to a speed colloquium (three to five minutes per presentation), where researchers, students and collaborators will be invited to share their perspectives and expertise on extended realities, their implications and experimentation.

Martin Lalonde lance un laboratoire interdisciplinaire sur les réalités étendues (RX) avec un speed colloque inaugural

Le speed colloque inaugural du Laboratoire 1P1 aura lieu le lundi 10 juin prochain à 13h en formule bimodale à l’UQAM. Rejoignez l’équipe et la communauté de recherche du premier laboratoire interdisciplinaire canadien, qui réunit̀ des artistes, des chercheur·es, des expert·es et des professionnel·les des milieux de pratique afin d’étudier les impacts et les potentiels des nouveaux environnements en RX. 

Le Laboratoire 1P1 est une infrastructure de soutien à la recherche-création et à la recherche sur et avec les réalités étendues (RX) en arts, en éducation et en esthétiques numériques.

La première moitié de l’après-midi sera réservée à la présentation de l’infrastructure, du programme de recherche, de l’équipe et du partenaire du Labo 1P1. La seconde moitié sera consacrée à un speed colloque (trois à cinq minutes par présentation), où chercheur·es, étudiant·es et collaborateur·trices seront invités à partager leurs perspectives et expertises sur les réalités étendues, leurs implications et leur expérimentation.
