Vivek Venkatesh and Angelica Galante honoured by McGill with prestigious awards

On July 3, 2024, the Provost of McGill University announced that it was conferring honours on 28 of its professors, including two members of the CSLP, Vivek Venkatesh and Angelica Galante.

Vivek Venkatesh was awarded one of five James McGill Professor (JMP) prizes, acknowledging his “significant research contributions and impact”. He recently joined McGill as its new Dean of the Faculty of Education.

Angelica Galante was honoured as a William Dawson Scholar, an award that recognizes “demonstrated potential to become global leaders in their field.” She is also the recent recipient of the President’s Prize for Outstanding Emerging Researchers.

The CSLP offers its congratulations to both worthy recipients.

Le 3 juillet 2024, le vice-recteur de l'Université McGill a annoncé qu'il décernait des distinctions à 28 de ses professeurs, dont deux membres du CEAP, Vivek Venkatesh et Angelica Galante.

Vivek Venkatesh a reçu l'un des cinq prix James McGill Professor (JMP), "en reconnaissance de l’impressionnante portée de leurs travaux et contributions à la recherche". Il a récemment rejoint McGill en tant que nouveau doyen de la Faculté d'éducation.

Angelica Galante a été honorée en tant que boursière William Dawson, un prix qui reconnaît "le potentiel qu’elles et ils démontrent à se tailler une place à l’avant-garde mondiale dans leur domaine". Elle est également la récente lauréate du Prix du président pour les chercheur.es émergents exceptionnel.les.
