The Canadian Practitioners Network for the Prevention of Extremist Violence (CPN-PREV), under the leadership of Ghayda Hassan (Département de psychologie, Université du Québec à Montréal), has launched its first ever podcast series to build on their work in the prevention of violent radicalization. The team says the series will highlight the unique expertise and perspectives of members and guests, while exploring an array of strategies that can be employed in the contest to counter extremism.
Two episodes (available in French only) are available so far; in the first, Sébastien Brouillette-Alarie (Research Lead) discusses his professional journey and motivations for working in the field while reviewing what the team has learned about prevention over the last decades. In the second podcast, Zeina Ismail-Allouche (Director of Partnerships and Program Development at CPN-PREV, CSLP manager) addresses intersectionality, her experiences as a non-violent activist working in the field of child protection.
The podcast series (available here) can be listened to through Spotify, Apple Podcast, Castbox or PodBean.
