On Monday, November 26th, 2024, CSLP manager Zeina Ismail-Allouche, as part of the Refugee Mental Health Project, will offer a special webinar on combating violence against children who find themselves in migration situations. Please be sure to register!
Tackling child abuse in migration: socio-ecological strategies will address the crucial issue of child abuse during the migratory journey, focusing on identifying signs of abuse and the complex factors in the socio-ecological model that contribute to these vulnerabilities.
The webinar will highlight the role of adverse childhood experiences in shaping the mental health of migrant children. Participants will explore practical interventions based on principles of equity, diversity and inclusion, equipping direct service providers with strategies to support and protect these children at individual, family, community and societal levels, ensuring a holistic and inclusive approach to their well-being and mental health.
The webinar is organized by the Center for Addiction and Mental Health’s Office of Health Equity. CAMH has been a leader in diversity and equity.
