The LSRC seminar series is coming your way

The Loyola Sustainability Research Centre seminar series features exciting talks on sustainability research from guest speakers and Concordia researchers alike. Mark your calendars for the second Friday of every month! Unless otherwise noted, the seminar will meet in the MB building on the downtown campus, specific location TBD. Individual talks will be posted as events, but the schedule for the year is as follows:

Nov. 10th, MB 2.285: Aleksandra Drizo from Heriot-Watt University in the UK will presentSolving Eutrophication: past, present and future

Dec. 8th, MB 6.240: Peter Graham from Queens and Concordia will present Since when does the environment need a psychiatrist? Material engagement theory and sustainability?

January 26th: Tonia Ruppenthal from Fulda University in Germany will present Sustainable development in the German food industry. NOTE THAT THIS SEMINAR WILL TAKE PLACE FROM 3-4 PM RATHER THAN THE REGULAR 3:30-4:30 PM

Feb 9th: MB 6.240: Marie Gagné from U. of Toronto will present Explaining Distinct Trajectories of Large-Scale Land Acquisitions in Senegal: Transactional Processes in the Local and National Political Arenas

March 9th: MB 9-CD: Kamal Bawa from U. Mass and the ASHOKA Trust will give the keynote address for our annual Sustainability Across Disciplines Conference. NOTE THAT THIS SEMINAR WILL TAKE PLACE FROM 4-5 PM RATHER THAN THE REGULAR 3:30-4:30 PM

April 13th: MB 6.240: Mona Luxion from McGill will speak about Water Sustainability in the Global South

May 11th: MB 6.240: Bengi Akbulut from Concordia will speak about her work, title TBD.
