Urban Ecologist Carly Ziter has been recognized by the Office of the President for her outstanding work in media outreach. Professor Ziter's research focusses on biodiversity conservation and ecosystem service provision in urban and urbanizing landscapes.Some of her recent work includes the NDG Tree Project, a citizen-science based project that involves getting residents of Montreal's DNG neighbourhood to measure the trees on their private land in an effort to inform Professor Ziter's research about the benefits these trees provide our community.
