Congratulations to Zujhar Singh who has successfully defended his PhD! This is a momentous landmark for the Solar Energy Conversion Group since Zujhar is the first PhD student to defend. The defense included a wide-ranging and indepth discussion about Zujhar's numerous contributions to our understanding of dye-sensitized photoelectrochemical cells. These represent a next generation technology that can be used to capture and convert sunlight to fuels. Thanks to Dr David Herbert from the University of Manitoba who visited as the external examiner and greatly expanded our understanding of these systems through his insightful feedback.
Read more about Zujhar's PhD work in the American Chemical Society journals Inorganic Chemistry, the Journal of Physical Chemistry C, and as an open access preprint on the ChemRxiv server.
