From June 5th to 7th, 2024, Dr. Carlo Pagano, from Concordia University's Department of Mathematics and Statistics, hosted "Dynamical Days," an inaugural workshop focusing on Dynamics and Number Theory.
"Dynamical Days" garnered significant attention with over 50 participants registered to attend from around the globe. This workshop marked a pioneering effort for Concordia University, bringing together renowned number theorists and scholars in the field. Attendees engaged in learning, collaboration, and the advancement of knowledge in dynamics and number theory.
The event was partially funded by the Centre interuniversitaire en calcul mathématique algébrique (CICMA) lab from the Centre de recherches mathématiques (CRM).
The roster of speakers included notable figures in number theory and dynamics:
- Jason Bell (University of Waterloo)
- Rob Benedetto (Amherst College)
- Laura DeMarco (Harvard University)
- Vesselin Dimitrov (Caltech)
- Andrea Ferraguti (University of Brescia)
- Patrick Ingram (York University)
- Rafe Jones (Carleton College)
- Nicole Looper (University of Illinois at Chicago)
- Myrto Mavraki (University of Toronto)
- Matt Olechnowicz (Concordia University)
- Alina Ostafe (University of New South Wales)
- Carlo Pagano (Concordia University)
