1. Ituri: FARDC confront the rebel group UPLC in Mambasa

- May 28, the FARDC led a surprise attack against the rebels ULPC, who were heavily armed.
- This is the second attack by the ULPC this month.
2. Two ADF terrorists killed by the FARDC

- Former chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (CENI), Abbot Apollinaire Malumalu died June 1 in Atlanta.
- Father Malumalu directed the election commission in the DRC twice, beginning in 2006.
