The Department of Philosophy is pleased to welcome Daniel Kaplan as a Horizon Postdoctoral Fellow (Jan. 2022 - Dec. 2023). He will be working with Prof. Ulf Hlobil on the SSHRC-funded project, Material Consequence as the Foundation of Logic.
Dan defended his dissertation, “Substructural Content”, in December 2021 at the University of Pittsburgh under the supervision of Robert Brandom. His research focuses on how substructural consequence relations are handled by philosophically informed semantics. He also has interests in German Idealism and Ancient Philosophy (especially Aristotle). To find out more, please see:
