A CNW release announced a news conference, this morning at 9:30 in the EV Building, where academics from the Simone de Beauvoir Institute and the Department of Sociology & Anthropology called for urgent international action to secure the release of Homa Hoodfar. The event, announced also by Shaw Connect and Money News, included the participation of Kimberley Manning, principal of the Simone De Beauvoir Institute, Marc Lafrance, professor in the Department of Sociology & Anthropology, and Emer O'Toole, assistant professor in the School of Canadian Irish Studies.
