Bengi Akbulut on Capitalism and Solidarity Economy at SEIZE
Bengi Akbulut, the acting director of the Social Justice Centre, will be speaking on Sept 22, 2022 at the SEIZE curriculum series “Fundamentals of the Solidarity Economy” – a 8 week hands-on learning program to introduce the solidarity economy movement.

Nov 3 - Organizing in a Housing Crisis
Nov 10 - Building Power for the Solidarity Economy
Nov 17 - Imaginary Coops: Enacting Praxis
- The curriculum will run Thursday evenings, 6:00-9:00 PM from September 22nd - November 17th (with a break for October 27th)
- The classes will take place at 2149 Mackay (SCPA basement, Concordia University Downtown)
- Registration is $20, but free for Concordia undergraduates
- All sessions will be hybrid format (online & in person), with the in-person classes reserved for the pre-registered cohort, and the online sessions open to the public.
- Food will be provided before each session
