Appointment of Sudhir Mudur as Chair of Computer Science and Software Engineering

Appointment Notice: Dean Robin Drew has announced the appointment of Sudhir Mudur as the new chair of the Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering and recognized the contributions of outgoing interim chair Peter Grogono.   

The dean issued the follow message to all faculty members and staff of the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science:

The Advisory Search Committee for the Academic Unit Head of the Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering has completed its work and unanimously recommended the appointment of Dr. Sudhir Mudur as Chair of the Department.  I concur with the recommendation of the Committee and am recommending to the Provost that Dr. Mudur be appointed for a five year term.

Dr. Mudur joined Concordia University in 2002 as a Professor in CSSE and was Chair of the Department from 2007 to 2012.  Now, after returning from his one year sabbatical on June 1, 2013, he will be resuming his role as Chair effective July 1, 2013.  Dr. Mudur is a valued member of the Department and an exemplary leader. I wish him well as he resumes his role as CSSE Chair.

At this time, I would like to take this opportunity to thank Dr. Peter Grogono for accepting the challenge of CSSE Interim Chair for this past year and wish him well as he takes a well-earned sabbatical leave on July 1.
