Third place in the Ottawa Eco-Logical Competition


Margarita Kotruts, first year student in Building Engineering, and her team won the third place in the Ottawa Eco-Logical Competition, which gathered students from different disciplines to compete for the best sustainable green building design for the Ottawa Community Housing (OCH) and the Carlington Community Health Center (CCHC). The mission was to propose a 70-unit seniors residence that was attached to a community health clinic. In addition to having a low impact on the environment, it aims to provide essential social and medical services, as well as to strengthen the community.
