The award acknowledges exceptional achievements in research and development by an individual or team, which is of benefit to Canada, and will be presented to him at the SCI Canada Awards Dinner on May 5 in Toronto, Ontario.
Also on May 5, Zaghib will participate in a panel discussion on Sustainability in a Low Carbon Economy where he will contribute his world-renowned experience in the field of rechargeable batteries, energy transition and the electrification of transportation to the conversation.
This is the first time a professor from Concordia University has been selected since the award’s inception in 2002.
