Abstract
The global realities of today’s business environment requires a continuous strive for excellence in order to meet and even exceed customer expectations. Consistent and predictable results should be achieved with an efficient management of interrelated processes that function as a coherent system.
The IMS (Integrated Management System) consists of interrelated processes. Understanding how results are produced by this system enables an organization to optimize the system and its performance. Some key benefits are an enhanced ability to focus effort on key processes and opportunities for improvement; optimized performance through effective process management, efficient use of resources and reduced cross-functional barriers.
During this lecture, I will share how Bombardier Transportation develop, integrate, maintain and monitor the application of a strong Integrated Management System in a constantly changing environment. The proposed approach aims to facilitate the deployment of business processes, meeting international standards requirements, such as ISO and IRIS-International Rail Industry Standard, assure the integrity and performance of those processes while maintaining its global competitive edge.
