Design student Tiffany Blaise is the first laureate of the Department of Design and Computation Arts' annual Surface3 Award. Blaise will take home the $500 grand prize.
Blaise's lamp and explanatory panel will be on display at Formation, the department's year-end show, until April 22, 2012 in Engineering, Computer Science and Visual Arts Integrated Complex (EV 7.745).
The department would also like congratulate finalists Vivian Leung and Catherine Vallières, who were shortlisted for the prize.

Funded by the generous donation of Surface3 design principals and Concordia alumni Jason Shatilla (BFA 03) and Carla El-Samra (BFA 01), the Surface3 prize is awarded to a graduating student in the design program whose work showcases overall excellence, with a specific focus on concerns of sustainability.
