Award - e-Concordia Course by Dr. Jean Bélisle

Although one of the Department of Art History's most beloved professors retired this past June 2012, it is a pleasure to report on one of his latest academic successes. The e-Concordia course Montréal: Evolution through Architecture and Urbanism designed by Dr. Jean Bélisle has been given top prize in the "Best e-learning" category of The Digi Awards, the premier digital media awards for industry and peer recognition. The course is only available to students outside the Faculty of Fine Arts. However, through digital technologies, it manages to replicate the vibranacy of the courses he used to teach for the Faculty's students, who followed Dr. Bélisle by the dozens on his legendary walking tours through Montreal.
