Description
La matière ordinaire [Ordinary matter] explores the possible resonances between the body and the universe, the micro and the macro, the high tech and the low tech. Central figure of the performance, the light beam from a projector is in turn tangible and living matter, color in motion, a celestial vault, a nebula, a flame and the solar wind. It becomes one with the dancer, fluctuates in response to the chorists' vocal frequencies or magnifies the artist's actions on the surface of a light table. Interdisciplinary artist Manon De Pauw orchestrates this performance in which she pushes further her aesthetic research by creating intricate visual situations with simple means.
