Call for applications: Jorisch Family Artist Residency
The Faculty of Fine Arts invites applications for the Jorisch Family Artist Residency, hosted by the Museum der Moderne, in Salzburg, Austria.
The application deadline is Monday November 26, 2018, at 9 am.
This award, announced in 2016, funds a 4 week residency for an outstanding graduate student in the visual arts in the Amalie Redlich Tower of the Museum der Moderne in Salzburg, Austria. The Jorisch Family Artist Residency is open to full-time graduate students in the Faculty of Fine Arts with a studio-based research-creation practice. This includes students in the MFA, MDes, and MA programs, as well as students in the MA/PhD Individualized Program (INDI) and the Interdisciplinary Humanities PhD Program (HUMA), with a primary supervisor in the Faculty of Fine Arts. This residency offers graduate students a singular opportunity for dedicated studio time in one of the most spectacular locales in Europe.
Residency applicants must demonstrate exceptional ability in their body of creative work. Recognizing that many artists today work across disciplines, this fellowship is directed towards students whose body of work is focused on the visual arts.
