PhD Student Patrick Brodie wins Graduate Student Writing Award

The SCMS Media Industries Special Interest Group has awarded PhD Student Patrick Brodie the graduate student writing award, for his essay, “Hosting Cultures: Placing the Global Data Center 'Industry.'"

The committee writes: “Patrick’s essay was an expertly researched and engagingly written piece on the cultural logics of the transnational data center industry located in Ireland. We will acknowledge Patrick at the annual SIG meeting coming up in Denver.”
